Program Description

Responsive Classrooms, Language and Concept Development, and Integrating Language into Content

In the first course, Responsive Classrooms, participants will focus on understanding their students’ language and literacy development from an asset-based, humanizing perspective. During course 2, Language and Concept Development participants will be able to describe the language demands of lessons and demonstrate an ability to provide strategies and differentiation for language and literacy development. In the final course, Integrating Language into Content Areas, participants will be able to apply their understanding of language demands to differentiate instruction and assessment in specific content areas.
