Opportunities to Connect + Collaborate
The following opportunities provide ways to connect with both the Office of Family School and Community Partnerships and with districts across the state. Some opportunities will be for specific audiences.
Do you have an idea you'd like to share for a new way to connect and collaborate?
Coffee Chat
Every third Friday of the month, we invite district FSCP contacts to our monthly Coffee Chat. These take place either virtually or in person. Check the Year at a Glance for dates and locations.
Visit the FSCP Coffee Chat website here.
Audience: District staff
Coffee Chat LearnWorlds Group
District contacts who participate in our monthly coffee chats are invited to join our Coffee Chat group on LearnWorlds. This group operates like a social media group, and is great place to share resources, ask questions, and celebrate FSCP successes. To learn more about signing up for LearnWorlds, contact Jes at [email protected].
Audience: District staff
FSCP Collaborative
The Collaborative focuses on strengthening family engagement for positive student outcomes using the FSCP P-12 Framework and Rubrics to guide annual planning and implementation. Collaborative teams have the opportunity to attend in-person networking meetings and receive coaching support from CDE.
Visit the Collaborative website here.
Audience: District staff and designated FSCP teams
SACPIE
The State Advisory Council for Parent Involvement in Education (SACPIE) is a legislated body of diverse stakeholders charged to advise state organizations and school districts on issues related to increasing parent involvement in education. SACPIE meetings are open to the public and are held on the second Tuesday of February, and the third Tuesday of May, August, and November. For locations and more information on meetings, visit the SACPIE website.
Audience: Open to the public
FSCP Annual District Leaders Retreat
Every Spring, the Office of Family School and Community Partnerships hosts a two-day retreat for district-level family engagement staff. This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other district leaders from across Colorado while digging into specific family engagement topics. Registration opens late Winter.
