D51 CLD Renewal Pathway

Program Description

District 51 offers a four course pathway that aligns to the culturally and linguistically diverse education professional development requirements.  The courses offered in this pathway include: CLDE: Socially Just Classrooms for All; CLDE: Assessment and Instruction for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students; CLDE: First and Second Language Acquisition: From Theory to Practice; and CLDE: Literacy and Content Area Instructional Best Practices for CLD Students.  D51 employees can take the courses as aligned professional learning units (APLUs) and can select courses according to the standards the individual needs to fulfill their renewal requirements.
