Learning Cohorts: Special Education
High Demand and Low Resources: Bridging the Divide to Cohesive Special Education Systems
Are you wondering how to improve the data for students with disabilities? Do you continually have shortages of personnel providing special education services to students? Do you find a disconnect between your general education staff and your special education staff?
This cohort is a collaborative group comprising building leaders, district leaders, BOCES leaders and both general education and special education providers. This cohort is dedicated to addressing current issues in education, reviewing how existing legislation impacts educational practices, and finding solutions to challenges such as staff shortages. Our time together will include presentations from experts in Special Education, collaboration with others in similar roles, and the sharing of resources by participants.
Learning Cohort Facilitators:
- Victory Molina, District Improvement Strategy Office
- Shauna Moden, Special Education Office
